Lockdown 3 Update
Following the announcement on the 4th January 2021 I wanted to share with you how the Council’s operations during this third lockdown remain unchanged.
Council meetings will continue to take place on Microsoft Teams. Members of the public are welcome to join us on Tuesday evenings for our meetings – most held at 7.30pm. Please just email the Clerk at email@example.com in advance with any questions that you may have for us. If you cannot join us online then we will certainly ensure any questions are fully responded to. All of our agendas are published on the 12 noticeboards located across the parish and minutes of the meetings are available online after every meeting.
Parks & Open Spaces
There will be no operational changes to our Parks & Open Spaces operation. All of our play parks will remain open with the exception of the Skate Park which remains closed until further notice. Our team will continue to work on their winter projects and litter/cleansing duties, with any spare capacity used to help the community with prescription or shopping requests for those residents who are shielding. The team is overseen by Dave Hunt our new Parks & Open Spaces Team Manager who will check on their welfare and make sure they have the support they need during these difficult times.
The Parish Office will remain closed to visitors. We are allowing up to a maximum of two people in the office to control numbers. The Office team remain in regular contact with each other using Teams, Zoom, and even pick up the phone sometimes too, to check on each other’s welfare. All officers with mobile phones can be reached on their telephone numbers or via the parish office.
The Council has volunteers that can help with anyone who is shielding and or we can put you in touch with groups can help the local community during this ongoing pandemic. Please call the Parish Office on 01793 722446 if you require any assistance with shopping, prescription collections, or simply would appreciate a regular phone call to have a chat. We have a lovely band of helpers who are here to help.
Please look after yourselves and each other as we enter into this third, and hopefully, final period of lockdown.
With best wishes
Councillor Linda Brown
Chairman of Haydon Wick Parish Council
