We would like to bring the community together on this day for a period of reflection, to remember those affected by the first waves of the pandemic in 2020, as well as those who are still affected today.
By way of reflection, we will be tying personalised remembrance ribbons to the branches of our remembrance trees in Blossom Park on Guernsey Lane adjacent to Orchid Vale Care Home, Haydon End. Blossom Park was created as a Memorial Garden in 2021 where five cherry blossom trees were planted along with some sleeper benches for residents to enjoy in the spring months 🌸
If you would like to add the name of a loved one to the display you can do this in three ways:
💛Either write their name in person by visiting the Council Offices on Thames Avenue between 8am – 4pm during the week
💛Contact us by phoning Sean on 01793 722446 or via email on youthandcommunity@haydonwick.gov.uk
💛Add your own yellow ribbon to the trees
These will be displayed between 1st and the 8th March.
