Haydon Wick Parish Council was honoured to support the planting of a cherry tree in memory of Megan on the green at Stardust Crescent.
Megan was a bright, kind, and courageous young woman who grew up in Oakhurst and was deeply loved by her family. She tragically passed away at the age of 21 after a long and difficult battle with her mental health.
The tree will serve as a lasting and meaningful way to remember Megan and bring a moment of reflection, hope, and beauty to the local community each year.
While speaking with Fraser and Dawn, Cllr Vinay Manro took time to understand more about Megan’s journey and the importance of improving mental health support across our communities.
