Haydon Wick Urban Art Programme

Haydon Wick Urban Art Programme 1900 1200 Caroline Hunt

Haydon Wick Parish Council will be launching an exciting new youth development programme!

A professional local Graffiti artist will help encourage our young Haydon Wick residents to get creative with stencils and develop their very own urban art design pieces!

These are two programmes, consisting of 18 workshops in total (attendees are expected to attend each session, for the duration of the programme). The programmes will run in two age groups, ages 10 – 13 years (4.00pm – 4.45pm) and ages 14 – 16 years (5.00pm – 5.45pm). There are 10 spaces per programme, so we kindly ask that commitment is given to those booking for this free community activity.

For more information and how to book, please visit: https://haydonwick.gov.uk/youth-forum/

Haydon Wick Guy Fawkes Trail

Haydon Wick Guy Fawkes Trail 1900 1200 Caroline Hunt

This community event will take place on Friday 5th November. We encourage all of our residents to build a Guy Fawkes, and display it as part of a Parish-wide Guy Fawkes trail! We ask anyone taking part to email youthandcommunity@haydonwick.gov.uk  with their street name (by Friday 29th October), so that we can create a Guy Fawkes Trail map for everyone to enjoy safely.

The Great British Spring Clean

The Great British Spring Clean 1900 1200 Caroline Hunt

The Council has signed up to the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean that runs from 28th May – 13th June 2021.

As we already have a wonderful army of volunteer litter pickers, the Council has suggested that we could easily reach a target of 20 participants throughout the week giving just one hour each of their time. Which would mean that we would have contributed 1,200 minutes of litter picking and covered 60 miles (which is an incredible 24 times around our parish!).

Please help us with our mission. Equipment can be provided. Who knows, we may even exceed our pledge!

For more details, or to make your own pledge with friends & family, please visit the Keep Britain Tidy website here.

More details will be added shortly, so keep an eye on our social media and join our Facebook page event for more details.
