The Mobii Table has proved very popular with attendees of our Memory Cafe, and it encourages movement through physical participation and emotional well-being
The Parish Council purchased the Mobii Table in 2020 to coincide with the launch of its very successful Memory Café, which is held at the Council Offices, Haydon Wick, Swindon on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
Following the benefit to users of the Memory Café the Parish Council has agreed the device could benefit the wider community, such as residents of care homes and pupils at Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) schools to stimulate, calm and provide proprioceptive feedback.
The Mobii Table is an award-winning mobile interactive table/floor projection system with inter-generational appeal. This mobile device can be and projected onto any flat surface, which makes it very accessible for adults and older children in day and home care settings. The system delivers engaging visual activities which provide many opportunities for social enjoyment and shared laughter.
Councillor Vinay Manro, Chairman of Haydon Wick Parish Council says:
“We are delighted to offer this state-of-the-art sensory equipment for hire to the community. The Mobii Table has proved very popular with attendees of our Memory Cafe, and it encourages movement through physical participation and emotional well-being.”
