Postponed Council Meetings, Events & Services

Postponed Council Meetings, Events & Services 800 800 Haydon Wick

During this period of national mourning, the following Council meetings will be postponed:

  • Parks & Open Spaces Committee (13th September)
  • Planning & Highways Committee (20th September)
  • Finance & Policy Committee (20th September)

The following events will be cancelled:

  • Memory Café (14th September)
  • Graffiti Workshops (14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd September)
  • Allstars Football (12th and 19th September)

As the Council Office is being used for Members of the Public to come in to sign the Condolence Book some room hire bookings have been affected. The Office will contact affected bookings directly.

The Community Bus service is expected to continue as normal, but there may be disruption if external clubs cancel events and the external clubs will let their members know accordingly.

Death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II 800 800 Haydon Wick

After Buckingham Palace confirmed the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II yesterday (08 September), Haydon Wick Parish Council has offered its condolences to the Royal Family.

At the Parish Offices, the flag has been lowered to half-mast as a mark of respect.

A condolence book will soon be made available for any resident who would like to leave a tribute or comment in the coming days.

The Council will be following official protocols over the coming days.

Councillor Vinay Manro, Chairman of Haydon Wick Parish Council, said: “We are deeply saddened that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time and as we join the nation in mourning, we pay tribute to the contribution Her Majesty has made through seventy years of dedicated public service.”
