Council moves towards reducing emissions in the Parish 800 800 Haydon Wick

Haydon Wick Parish Council is proud to announce the addition of two new electric vehicles to its Parks & Open Spaces fleet of vehicles

The Goupil G4 trucks have zero emissions and will be in regular use to carry out various grounds maintenance tasks within the parish. The addition of the G4 trucks means that one quarter of the Council’s fleet is now electric.

Councillor Vinay Manro, Chairman of Haydon Wick Parish Council had this to say about the new vehicles:

“The Parish is very proud of these recent additions to the fleet. Being electric they will help reduce emissions, improve the Council’s carbon footprint, and make Haydon Wick a greener and more sustainable place to live.

This is another step in reducing the Parish’s carbon footprint and compliments the existing solar panels on the Parish Council office roof. It is a future aspiration for the Parish Council to install solar panels in the future on the roof of the grounds maintenance facility”.

The Council hopes to deploy more environmentally friendly trucks as the vehicles become due for replacement.
