NOTICE OF HIGHWAY WORKS

RE: Essential Cycle Track Repairs – Orchid Close to Pond Street
We hereby notify residents of upcoming maintenance works to the cycle track between Orchid Close and Pond Street.
The Council will be undertaking essential repairs to improve sections of the cycle track, extending its lifespan and providing a safer, enhanced surface for all users.
DURATION OF WORKS
• Commencement: Thursday 21st November 2024
• Duration: 2 working days
• Working hours: 07:30 – 18:00
Please note that works may extend beyond the planned duration due to adverse weather conditions, equipment issues, or if additional repairs are identified during the process.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
For public safety, a full closure of this section of cycle track will be implemented for the duration of the works. A signed diversion route will be in place.
ADVANCE NOTICE
The appointed contractor will install notification signs prior to works commencing. Should any delays occur, these signs will be updated with revised dates accordingly.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential improvements to Swindon’s highway network.
